Favourite Sport – Acrostic Poem

Volley is a calm game, you can happily play with your family and friends.

Obviously our hands kind of hurts when we hit the ball too high.

Later, after we all packed our stuff and went back home.

Little we didn´t know someone was spying on us from the bushes.

Everyone took a turn hitting the ball with laughter.

You can only hit the ball over the net.

One day there was a Lock down,

In a popular place called nuke town.

He was armed with guns,

And we tried to run.

He came outside,

So we went inside.

We saw a broken glass,

And we went to the field that’s filled with grass.

One day We visited a haunted house,

We moved quietly like a little mouse.

I saw a rusted playground,

But there was absolutely no sound,

The house was dark blue,

We found a scary clue.

It led us to the stairs that was deep,

We found a mask that we wanted to keep.

In Cybersmart with Whaea Ocea we did an activity using AI to create an image of a trellis for our garden bed. Here is the image I created.

The Satellite

Did you know there was a satellite race between countries to send the first satellite to orbit our planet Earth.

In 1957 October the 4th Russia was the first country to send the very first satellite to space called “Sputnik 1” and it started orbiting Earth.

Did you know that the first living thing to land in space was a brave dog named Laika, The journey was fine until she died, lasting only eight days in space.

On this day there are around three thousand satellites orbiting our planet Earth. The first people to land on the moon were two brave men named Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin in 1969.

Satellites changed the world because they helped us make communication much easier and they sent warnings to keep us safe, without satellites it would be hard to see each other again.

                               The Luxury Cabana

“Aaahh!!! Someone help me” I shouted and I ran so fast because some one was chasing me with a really sharp knife, I ran into a dead end and then I was pushed, and I fell in the deep blue sea.

I washed up to the shore and saw a creepy looking castle, as I stepped inside I saw three doors in front of me, it gave me chills and I hesitated for a moment before entering something unexpecting.

I saw a luxurious Cabana and saw a lot of food on the table, (It was fancy)  The perfume was giving fresh air and relaxing music was playing.

It was getting dark so I got out of the Cabana and watched the sun sets.

While sitting down on the glimmering sand, in the ocean, I saw many jelly fishes, it was beautiful because they were glowing in the night.

It was getting cold so I went into the Cabana , suddenly a butler showed up and gave me steak and a strawberry smoothie.

I decided to stay there for the rest of my life.

Solar System Orbit Experience

Do you know the order of the planets in our gigantic! solar system well… We learned from a special song that we sang during pack up time.

First, we got on the mat and watched a video that talks about how Earth orbits around the Sun while rotating.

Mrs Kelly started choosing, who gets to be the sun first and she picks me so I get to sit on a chair while every planet comes one by one.

First comes Mercury (Katalina and Nate) second comes Venus (Manseerat and Roham) third comes Earth (Michelle and Arav) Fourth is Mars (Somriddha and Ananya) soon…

After our experiment it felt so exhausting and boring but at least I learned that the furthest planet from the Sun (Neptune) is the fastest planet but the closest planet from the Sun (Mercury) is the slowest planet of all.
